Apollo Global Management Names Henry Silverman as Its New Chief Operating Office

Apollo Global Management (Apollo Management, L.P.) named veteran financier Henry Silverman as its new chief operating office. Silverman will be based in the private equity firm's New York office and was previously a consultant for Apollo. Silverman is the former chief executive of franchising giants Realogy and Cendant, and worked alongside Saul Steinberg at Reliance Group Holdings in the 1980s. He became a partner at The Blackstone Group in the early 1990s.
