CLIA's Christine Duffy Christens AmaWaterways' AmaCerto in Germany |

President Christine Duffy christened river cruise operator AmaWaterways’ newest
ship, the 164-passenger AmaCerto, at a pier-side ceremony today in Vilshofen,
Germany. Duffy was joined by Rudi Schreiner, president and CEO of AmaWaterways,
and Kristin Karst, the company’s executive vice president, along with AmaCerto
passengers and dignitaries from this river town in the district of Passau. “I am
thrilled and excited to be here in Vilshofen today and so proud and honored to
be the godmother for this ship,” said Duffy. “This ship and this kind of product
clearly set the standard for the cruise industry.”Schreiner, whose company this year is celebrating its 10th anniversary, said “It is always a pleasure to come back to this city, and in 2014 we will increase our arrivals and departures from this city with which we have such a close relationship.” Karst added, “During the last 10 years, river cruising has experienced tremendous growth. It has been recognized as the fastest growing segment of the cruise industry.

world to wonderful places like Vilshofen. People are coming back to their homes
saying how beautiful the Danube is, and it is the number one destination
