March 2011 - Author; Diana Bloss Cruise Co-ordinator. Worldwide recently delivered a charter on the SeaDream Yacht Club vessels. The client was Marbet Marion & Bettina Wuerth GmbH & Co. KG – a leading German incentive, event and travel agency who we met at EIBTM in 2009. My main contact with whom I worked with was Elke Neuhausen – Consultant for Marbet, who has been in the travel industry for many years.

Q: Diana Bloss – Elke, I recently had the pleasure of working together with you on your charter of the SeaDream, and actually sailing on the program.    I think we would all agree that it was a  huge success.  What do you feel are the key elements of why  the participants really enjoyed this particular type of destination.

A: Elke Neuhausen – I totally agree with you that the event has been a huge success. The Caribbean Sea has shown itself from the best side weather-wise and the SeaDream vessel is an outstanding product. The all inclusive service makes you feel at home and the guests did not have to worry about anything. The guests enjoyed the excursions in the morning and having time at leisure in the afternoon either to walk around the islands or relax on the yacht.

Q: Diana – As we know, the participants that qualified for the trip went over by about 25% and we had to get extra cabins on the second SeaDream vessel .   The schedules of both vessels was coordinated to overlap on two days of the cruise -  in Saba & St Barts.   How do you feel this worked out?

A: Elke – It really has been a challenge but in the end it worked out nicely and the guests enjoyed one evening together as well as the next day in St. Barts where they have met to have a coffee together.

Q: Diana – How would you describe the service onboard SeaDream?

A: Elke – The service has been fantastic. Everybody was very helpful and all our requests have been handled extremely well.  The Club and Activities Director onboard has been great in helping with his German knowledge at all ends.

Q: Diana – How would you describe the ship itself?

A: Elke – The ship is perfect for the size of group we have been. There is enough space to enjoy it during the day and having the two choices for serving dinner inside and outside is a big plus, as well that everybody can eat at the same time and not in different sittings is perfect for an incentive group. Furthermore I would like to mention that the crew makes the stay on board very special.

Q: Diana
– What did you think of the custom itinerary that was created for you?

A: Elke – The schedule was recommended by the captain of the yacht and I personally think that it has been a very good mix in order to experience unspoiled islands with Caribbean flair as well as having possibilities for activities and shopping.

Q: Diana – As Worldwide is based here in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area, and has a long history of working with SeaDream, you asked me to head up on your behalf, to do all the pre-programming with them.  How do you feel this worked?

A: Elke – Diana you have been a great help for us as you have been very familiar with all possibilities the yacht can offer and for me only dealing with one person was a very efficient way of working.

Q: Diana – After having initially met at EIBTM in 2009, would you recommend working with Worldwide  to your colleagues in your office?

A: Elke – Yes, I have given my colleagues an overview of our trip and have recommended you to all of them.

Q: Diana – In your own words, how would you sum up this charter that you recently delivered.

A: Elke - The whole trip went very smoothly and we have received a very good feedback from our client. It has been a wonderful experience and I would love to sell it to any other client again.
