Ocean Reef Club

Located on North Key Largo, the Private Ocean Reef Club offers unmatched facilities for the executive retreat, corporate board meeting, association executive meeting or pure incentive for up to 400 participants.  This hidden gem offers every possible activity from croquet to 36 holes of championship golf.  The food and beverage outlets are varied, interesting and inviting and the quality of the prepared items matches the extremely high level of service of the well-trained staff.

Ocean Reef Club has been in continual operation since the late 1940s when it began as a private fishing camp for a few privileged winter escapees.  The resort is owned by the membership who comprises a “Who’s Who” of International success stories in business and industry.  Each guest becomes a sponsored guest of the resort and becomes a member for the time they are there.

Getting There:

Less than one-hour drive from Miami International Airport or one and one half hours from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, the Ocean Reef Club is remote, yet accessible. Limousine transportation is available through the resort on a pre-arranged basis.  There is a private airstrip of 4,500 feet that will accommodate private planes and some private jets.  Full services are available at the airstrip.

Accommodations:

Rooming choices range from large bright hotel guest rooms and suites to private waterfront estates with a variety of villas and townhouses spread throughout the resort. Most group and incentive planners elect to house their guests in the five buildings surrounding the Inn.  Nightly turn down service complete with custom chocolates, room service and outstanding vistas of the beach, Atlantic and marina make the Inn accommodations a perfect combination of luxury, privacy and convenience.  For small corporate retreats, many planners choose the private homes and villas, which offer heated swimming pools, up to six bedrooms, and baths and all the comforts of a well planned Estate.

Wining and Dining:

Variety is the theme at the Ocean Reef Club.  Nine full service restaurants plus five bars give you choices without sacrificing quality.

The Ocean Room serves as the “ main dining room” on the resort serving breakfast and dinner in an informal yet elegant atmosphere.  No bathing attire, Tee shirts, cut-offs, caps or cell phones are allowed to maintain the club atmosphere of the resort.  On Saturday nights during the prime winter season, the Ocean Room offers their Grand Seafood Buffet complete with local stone crabs, Florida lobster and the catch of the day.  Reservations for this “Gala” are generally made weeks in advance by members and guests to insure a table of preference.

Palm Court offers a casual poolside lunch featuring fresh fish, huge cooked to order burgers, pasta specialties and freshly made salads.

Beach Grille, which is adjacent to the Pool Bar, offers light entrées, salads burgers and hot dogs and are delivered to your chaise by the pool or on the beach by your attendant.

The Galley is another seafood specialty restaurant with fantastic views of the marina and the mega-yachts. Located in the Fishing Village, it is more casual than the Ocean Room. The Galley appeals to individuals and families alike.
