Amanwana’s Komodo
Expedition is centered around the ‘Amanikan’, the 31-metre Phinisi
coastal cruiser custom-built for Amanresorts. Amanikan is ideal for
private cruises for one or two couples or a family, combining the
romance of spice trade sailing vessels with modern amenities, 2
oversized staterooms and 1 large double stateroom as well as all the
comforts befitting Aman.
An expansive master
cabin sits at the back of the upper deck offering sweeping 270
degree views from the large private balcony. The second spacious
double cabin located below the main deck features the same
spectacular views. Both air conditioned cabins are outfitted with
king-size beds, spacious en-suite bathrooms with vanities, showers
and separate toilets plus a private balcony. A third smaller cabin
is also available. Large teak decks feature loungers for relaxing,
sunbathing and dining.
The Komodo National
Park is a World Heritage Site in which guests are escorted by park
rangers to view Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Other
wildlife on Rinca and Komodo Islands includes buffalo, deer, monkeys
and wild horses. From the colorful reefs of Tatawa Island to the
seductive setting and colors of Komodo’s Pink Beach, Amanikan’s
island-hopping itinerary will take you to some of the world’s most
pristine marine environments.
At sunset on the fifth
day, the vessel begins its overnight cruise to the nature reserve of
Moyo Island where Amanwana is situated. For two nights, guests will
enjoy this unique luxury- tented wilderness hideaway, with wall
dives directly offshore, jungle treks to waterfalls and limestone
pools, as well as spa treatments and water sports. Guests depart
Amanwana by scheduled transfers for the flight back to Bali. |
