Star Clippers Itineraries - Star Flyer, Star
Clipper & Royal Clipper |
Caribbean - Tall ships, tall tales and
tropical islands. |

Star Clippers offers 4 itineraries Royal
Clipper and Star Clipper in the Caribbean
(Early November to Mid-April). |
With her sails gleaming in
the sun Star Clipper threads between lush volcanic islands in
a sea that can only be the Caribbean, because it is incredibly
blue.
The world you’ll discovered is a Caribbean unlike the one
you’ll find on a cruise ship. It’s as if you had your own
chartered yacht and could sail anywhere you wanted. Except we
do all the work for you while you laze in our pool, or watch
the dolphins play in their pool. Our ships sail to private
places, protected anchorages in the British Virgin Islands. We
explore lush, exotically beautiful islands like Dominica and
St. Lucia, where jungle trails abound with sweet-smelling
vanilla orchids and other wild-growing tropical flowers. We
visit privileged enclaves in the lesser-known Grenadines and
exclusive Anguilla where old moneyed wealth and newly minted
celebrities spend fortunes to live in thatch-roofed cottages.
A Star Clippers cruise is the perfect platform from which to
launch diving adventures in the Tobago Cays, where the reefs
are a marvel of colorful marine creations.
Star Clipper’s Caribbean itineraries begin in St. Maarten. Her
Treasure Islands voyage sails northward to the Leeward and the
British Virgin Islands. Her Leeward Islands voyage ventures
southward to Guadeloupe and Dominica, sampling the best of the
Leeward Islands.
Our flagship, Royal Clipper, sails from Barbados on
alternating voyages to the Grenadines and the Windward
Islands. The Caribbean venues where Star Clipper and Royal
Clipper sail are famous for the glorious sailing weather, and
every voyage promises the thrill of passage making under full
sail. |

Far
East - To the ends of the Earth in the Andaman Sea. |
|
|
|
Star Clippers offers 4 itineraries in the Far East,
(Mid-November to Mid-March).
|
This is the beginning of your
journey to the ends of the earth in Thailand’s Andaman Sea, a voyage
into the mysteries and marvels of a far-eastern land little known to
the western world.
Singapore-Phuket / Phuket-Singapore: We’ll take you to a
hidden corner of the Orient that adventurous travelers treasure for
its unspoiled beaches and dream-like natural beauty.
The little ports and scores of islands dotting the Andaman Sea along
the west coasts of Thailand and Malaysia have long been stopping
places for traders from India, Indonesia, China, Burma, Arabia and
Europe. Here, indigenous peoples traded for goods they could not
obtain locally.
So it’s not surprising to see temples that look Chinese and wooden
fishing boats that could be Portuguese. The people are friendly and
their smiles are genuine, perhaps because they haven’t had to cope
with crowds of tourists. The clarity of the water and the variety of
coral and marine life are amazing.
Phuket / Phuket: What’s more amazing is that many of
these beautiful islands and their surrounding waters are designated
national parks, preserved forever to explore and enjoy. When you walk
along a palm-fringed beach, the only footprints you see might be yours
and a sandpiper’s. For diving and snorkeling, or just curling your
toes in warm sand, this is paradise found.
After exploring the pristine beauty of the Andaman Sea, select
sailings continue along the western coast of Malaysia to Malacca,
known as the “City of Dreams” and also the oldest city in Malaysia,
before reaching cosmopolitan and very immaculate Singapore. |

Eastern
Mediterranean - Dreams and Dervishes in the Cyclades. |
|
|
Star Clippers offers 4
itineraries in the Eastern Mediterranean (Early-May to Early November) |
Long ago, these islands were
the landing places of an endless tide of invaders from far off lands. From
ancient Phoenicia, Persia, the Peloponnesus, Imperial Rome and
Constantinople they came. Followed by waves of European Crusader knights,
Genoan mariners, Venetian merchants and turbaned Turkish troops of the
Ottoman Empire. They stormed ashore to conquer – only to be vanquished by
time and absorbed into the dry volcanic earth. All that remains are their
stone ruins, ghostly shapes wrapped in myth and mystery.
Today the Cyclades are an inviting playground for pleasure seekers aboard
Star Flyer. Where white-washed churches point tilted Greek crosses
heavenward in skies of brilliant blue, while sun worshippers bask on the
beaches under Helios’ golden gaze. Twisting cobblestone alleyways lead to
tavernas where octopus salad and ouzo are in order. Ancient Minoan palaces
and medieval fortresses whisper tales of pagan rites and knightly rituals. |

Star Clippers offers 6 itineraries in the Western Mediterranean
(Early-May to Early-October) |
The faces of the Western Mediterranean are wreathed in smiles. This is the
land of sunshine and dreamy summer afternoons, where the days never end
and the nights are cooled by breezes perfumed with sage, rosemary and
thyme. The taste of sweet green olive oil and fresh ripe tomatoes, the
sound of carefree children laughing on sun drenched beaches, the sight of
myriad yachts at anchor in picturesque harbors, the stories told by
crumbling walls and ancient ruins, these are but a few of sights and
scenes of the Western Mediterranean that have drawn travelers through the
centuries since time began.
Star Clipper will sail from Cannes, offering an enticing menu of choices
ranging from the 7-night exploration of the classic ports on the French
and Italian Rivieras to 10-night sailings which visit Portugal, Spain and
Morocco or select one 10 & 11-night cruises which sail from Cannes down
the Italian Coast, visiting the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Corfu and inaugural
calls in Albania and Montenegro before arriving in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Royal Clipper continues her two intineraries from Rome’s port of
Civitavecchia, alternating cruises that include sun-drenched Sicily,
Malta, stops throughout the volcanic Aeolian Islands, the Italian Pontine
Islands and routes along Italy’s romantic Amalfi Coast.
The Croatian Coast is an exciting new addition for Royal Clipper. It might
be the Mediterranean’s last unsung paradise. Put yourself in a magical
place of ancient Roman ruins, idyllic ports and myth-making islands lost
in time. Where tall cypresses, olive groves and hilltop villages remind
you of Italian hill towns. Where dancing waters are dotted by white sails
and thousands of islands spill like green jewels over the sea. And more
precious treasures abound in medieval walled cities that have miraculously
survived through centuries of attack and siege.
It is a country that is more sea than land, birthplace of generations of
sailors and adventurers, including Marco Polo. Here fishermen still bring
in the catch every day - and seafood never sees a freezer before being
served at your table! This is the enchanted Istrian and Dalmatian Coast of
Croatia, and it is richly deserving of your discovery. But come quickly.
Because others will find it very soon!
Join us as we discover an unsurpassed enclave of the Adriatic Sea
combining the best of the ancient and new, the alluring archipelagos and
coastline of Croatia. |
