Bissias departs Sea Cloud Cruises |

Bissias has left Sea Cloud Cruises where he was managing director for marketing
and sales. Following his departure last month composition of the company's
senior management, consisting of Hermann Ebel and Klaus Gerken, remains the
same.Longstanding executives Anja Ringel (International marketing and sales), Ralf Petersen (German marketing and sales) and Petra Quasdorf (products and marketing) will remain the company's sales and marketing contacts, says the owner. Whilst the company continues discussions about the completion of Sea Cloud Hussar, currently languishing in Spain's bankrupt yard Factoria de Naval(see separate story), the 79-year-old windjammer Sea Cloud is scheduled to undergo an overhaul at MWB-Werft Bremerhaven shipyard in November to ensure compliance with Solas standards. Sea Cloud celebrates its 80th birthday in May 2011. Following its participation in the Hamburg port festival, the vessel will resume sailing itineraries throughout the Western and Eastern Mediterranean as well as the Adriatic. The coming year also sees the tenth birthdays of Sea Cloud II and river yacht River Cloud II. |
