Uniworld to Launch River Antoinette on Rhine in March 2011 |

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises will launch River
Antoinette, the sister ship to the River Beatrice, in March 2011 on the Rhine
River. Using the same décor and design standards as the River Beatrice, the
River Antoinette will ship the “Castles Along the Rhine” itinerary. The River Antoinette, which will be Uniworld’s largest ship, is 443 feet long and 37.5 feet wide. Uniworld decided to use the additional space to create larger staterooms and suites, so there will be a minimal capacity increase. Most of the 73 staterooms will be 196 square feet, and 20 staterooms will be 163 square feet. Eight junior suites will measure 294 square feet, and one Owner’s Suite will be 391 square feet. The River Antoinette will offer top-deck suites and staterooms with full balconies that, with a touch of a switch, will raise the glass to create an enclosed conservatory during cooler weather. The vessel also will have a heated swimming pool and sky lounge on the sun deck. As with all Uniworld ships, each category of stateroom will feature an opulent color scheme and rich fabrics adorning the walls. Junior suites and top-deck staterooms will have Hesse al fresco cream and blue toile fabric. Mid-deck staterooms will have classic crewel fabric with a floral design of soft green, powder blue, baby pink and dark green over a cream background. All suites and staterooms will have English Savoir beds originally designed for the Savoy and Claridges hotels in London and now used in all Red Carnation Hotels and Uniworld ships. Bathrooms have marble in various color schemes, L’Occitane bath products and thick towels from Christies of Manchester, the oldest towel maker in Europe. |
