Sydney’s Wharf 8 Darling Harbour to be Demolished |
||||||||||||||||
Despite intense lobbying to retain the cruise ship terminal, NSW
Ports Minister Paul McLeay confirmed that the New South Wales government will
shut down Wharf 8 Darling Harbor this month. The
70,310gt, 1956 passenger Pacific Jewel will be the last ship to use Wharf
8 and the first ship to use the interim passenger terminal at Wharf 5 Barangaroo
when it returns to Sydney from a 14-night South Pacific cruise on June 26. |
