RCCL UK managing director Shaw to leave company

Robin Shaw, Vice President and Managing Director for UK and Ireland, will be leaving Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (RCCL) at the end of March 2010 to pursue another senior management role outside of RCCL.

Robin Shaw joined the company in January 2005 and has overseen dramatic growth in the UK and Ireland business during his tenure, RCCL said in a statement. Michael Bayley, Senior Vice President International commented: "Over the last five years Robin has been instrumental in delivering exceptional results for the UK and Irish markets where both market share and profitability have increased significantly. Robin leaves behind a talented and dedicated team and has set a very strong platform for continued growth in 2010 and beyond. We wish Robin the very best in his future career."

With immediate effect, Jo Rzymowska, Associate Vice President and General Manager , UK and Ireland – who has worked in partnership with Robin Shaw for the past five years – will work with Michael Bayley and Robin Shaw to oversee the transition period for the UK and Ireland business.

RCCL operates the Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and recently rebranded Azamara Club Cruises in the UK and Ireland.
