Celebrity Cruises plans to upgrade its four Millennium-class ships |
||||||||||||||||
As part of its new “Designed for You” program,
Celebrity Cruises plans to upgrade its four Millennium-class ships with features
found on the newer Solstice-class vessels. The program requires an investment of
$200 million. “Through our Designed for You platform, we plan to leverage our
Solstice Class ships’ stylish, modern design and ambience even further,” said
Celebrity President and CEO Dan Hanrahan. Celebrity Constellation will be the
first to receive the new enhancements during scheduled dry-dock in April. Among the Solstice-class features to be introduced on the Millennium Class ships is the Tuscan Grille, the Napa Valley-meets-Italian-steakhouse venue found on Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Equinox. Also to be added are Bistro on Five, a creperie introduced on Solstice and Equinox, and an ice-topped Martini Bar paired with Crush, whose ice-filled table presents chilled, top-tier vodkas. The Millennium ships also will get the Café al Bacio and Gelateria, replacing the former Cova Café, and an Enomatic wine bar, the Italian designed wine serving system that allows guests to select, at the touch of a button, the wines of their choice by the glass. Accommodations will get new furniture, flat-screen TVs, upholstery, bedding and carpeting. Public rooms also will get new color schemes, carpeting and upholstery reflective of Solstice class. |
