Bahamas Celebration - Review

I have had recent opportunity to walk on to Celebration Cruise Line’s ship, Bahamas Celebration.  Originally built as a ferry and operating in the Baltic, the ship has undergone a major refit for it’s new role as Port Everglades newest short cruise option - offering 2 and 3 night cruises from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas.

The ship is in very good form with practically “new” public areas.  From the ample and impressive spa, the sharp and trendy casino and bar to the 4 dining venues, this ship has more to offer than you might think from a short run product.

At 35,483 GRT and a double occupancy capacity of 1000 passengers, the Bahamas Celebration is South Florida’s only year-round mid size ship in the short cruise market.

Staterooms vary in levels of comfort but there are ample standard inside and outside cabins that rival the mass market’s product as well as three levels of suites.

The ship also offers the unique 2 night, 2 night, 3 night itinerary pattern with 2 night cruises departing every Monday and Wednesday and a 3 night departing every Friday.   The 2 night cruises sail from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau and the 3 night adds a day at sea.  Also unique in the market is the 7pm departure time from Fort Lauderdale.

I will be sailing on the vessel next week so please look out for a full review in regards to food, service, entertainment, etc.   I have taken several photographs of the ship and you can find these at our website.
