Cruise Industry Veteran Roy Grimsland Launches Consulting Firm

Roy Grimsland, a 30-year cruise and hospitality industry veteran, has launched Six Degrees Consulting Corp. The newly formed company will provide services focused on the travel and tourism industries, including cruise, hotel, tourist offices and travel companies. These services include sales structure and management training, video production, database management and electronic marketing services.

“Utilizing my decades of sales management experience in the hospitality industry and leveraging the assets of my strategic partners, Six Degrees can offer real time and real world solutions to any client in the travel business through our deep understanding of their sales needs,” said Grimsland, president and founder of Six Degrees.
Six Degrees is looking to work with companies or organizations that need stronger performance and results from their sales efforts, and provides strategy, structure and process assistance to improve volume, revenue and yield. Sales management consulting can be on a short- or long-term non-permanent basis, and is customized to the size and requirements of each client.

Grimsland’s experience most recently included posts as executive vice president of sales of Paul Gauguin Shipping Ltd. and corporate director of sales for West Paces Hotel Group. Prior to that, he held key sales positions in various cruise lines, including Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Royal Cruise Line and Norwegian Cruise Line.
