Joseph J. Ueberroth, president and CEO resigns from Ambassadors International Inc. |

| Ambassadors International Inc., parent company of Windstar Cruises, announced that Joseph J. Ueberroth, president and CEO, has resigned effective April 1. Ueberroth also resigned from the board of directors effective March 20. Ueberroth first announced his resignation in September 2008, giving the company 12 months’ notice. However, since the company is substantially finished moving its corporate headquarters to Seattle to concentrate on its cruise business, Ueberroth “felt it was now the appropriate time for him to leave.” Ueberroth became president and CEO in November 2003 and was responsible for the acquisition and development of Bellingham Marine and BellPort as well as the acquisition of Windstar Cruises. | |
