New Ships & New Itineraries This fall and winter will see six new ships operating to the Caribbean from various Florida and Gulf Coast ports. This means more new port and itinerary options than ever before to see the eastern and western Caribbean. While too numerous to list, let us give you just a couple that have caught our eye. Here is one of the most interesting is a 7-night eastern Caribbean cruises with only one day at sea: Ft Lauderdale, Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, San Juan, St Thomas, at sea, Nassau, Ft Lauderdale. This cruise is only available in Nov and Dec of 2003. There are also several cruises operating from Galveston and New Orleans are offering over night stays in Key West. Let the fun begin! More ships will be calling in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and port calls to St Kitts and Nevis and are now available on 7 night cruises from South Florida. 8 night cruises. If you can get the dates right, these are a deal. Two itineraries are offered: One going to Panama, Costa Rica and Belize among other ports while the other itinerary hits ports like Barbados and Martinique. Both cruises operate from South Florida. One of the most interesting new ships coming is the Holland America Zuiderdam. This will be an entirely new class of ship for Holland America carrying just over 1,800 passengers. Two thirds of the cabins have balconies and as usual ALL of the cabins are large in comparison to most other mass market ship. Other new features include more alternative dining outlets, exterior elevators and up graded spa facilities. NCL's new Norwegian Dawn, sister ship to the extremely popular Norwegian Star, features 10 Restaurants and 13 Bars and Lounges. The two Garden Villas with 3 bedrooms, living room and dining have a tremendous amount of deck space for corporate entertaining. The Dawn will be operating 7 night cruises alternating between the eastern and western Caribbean starting in December 03.
