Recently AmaWaterways has unveiled several new product updates and ships. It has
updated its culinary offerings with a new tasting menu in its signature Chef’s
Table Restaurant that offers three appetizers, a champagne sorbet intermezzo,
three main courses and three desserts, with a focus on regional specialties and
traditional dishes. Each course is paired with a hand-selected regional wine.
The line has also expanded its Backroads partnership to offer more active river
cruise departures in 2017. That year the two companies will offer more than 100
sailings with chances for travelers to experience active adventure biking,
walking and hiking tours during the cruise.
Also this summer, the line christened two new river cruise ships, AmaViola and
AmaStella. AmaViola began sailing in April and will also be offering seven-night
Danube cruises in 2016 and 2017. AmaStella begins sailing with AmaWaterways in
late September, with seven-night Melodies of the Danube cruises. Romantic
Danube, Melodies of the Danube (wine-themed) and Christmas Markets itineraries
are also available in 2016, as well as in 2017. |
