Are there separate newbuild projects underway at two different shipyards in Europe? It would seem so, according to various sources within the industry.

In Germany, the Nordic Yards facility is Wismar is rumored to be involved in a new expedition ship for an established cruise line. The shipyard did not reply to a request for comment.

Further south, a project is taking shape in Croatia as Uljanik Group, a shipyard, reported on Nov. 12 that it had signed a contract with a “foreign” company for a ocean-going luxury passenger ship with capacity for 237 passengers and a 2018 delivery date.
