 Toronto has always been a favorite city for all of our sales team and this year as with so many year in the past we arrived with high expectation that our visit to Canada's Premier TradeShow would be exciting, busy with new clients to meet and old friends and colleagues to catch up with.

But sadly, as in so many recent years, the show itself proved to be just a so-so affair. 

Our cruise line associates who had co-opted the booth with us where from the worlds premium lines and as such we thought there would be a rash of interest in meeting with these people, such was not the case as all in all there was a meager flow of seriously interested party's who stopped of at the booth.

As one of our exhibitors remarked - "I guess it beats coming here for a week to do the rounds of the agencies when you get to meet the few who have any interest in corporate cruses in an afternoon or two".

It would appear that the main draw of the show has become the education sessions which we gather where very well attended following which a few diehards would stroll the show floor.

Perhaps Canadian's have not fully encompassed the benefits that a corporate program on a ship offers their clients as well as the ease in which it can be accomplished, or perhaps it's just perceived to be priced out of range for most Canadian companies.

Purely on the basis of return on our investment - we have to seriously consider if the show warrants to cost involved in sending a team, purchasing exhibition space and all the ancillary expenses involved   There are now so many of these trade shows vying for our attention that we need to focus on which gives us the most "bang for our buck".
