The past two months Worldwide has exhibited at two trade shows.  Mice Asia in Singapore on Sept 10&11 was disappointing as the Singapore Government call for a snap election which requires all Singapore Citizens to vote and of course it’s a National Holiday.  While we and our show partner, Celebrity were disappointed we will continue to search out a better Asia show opportunity.

Imex in Vegas this Oct 13 to 15 I must admit was the best Incentive Show in years.  I think all of the trade press is saying that “Incentives are back” is a very true statement.  We were very encouraged presenting two new partners at the show offering Cuba cruises starting December 2015 as well as exotic river ships operating on the Mekong, Amazon, Irrawaddy and Ganges Rivers.  (See our review below).  These ships and suppliers all reflect the attitude many people had during the show of wanting more and will to pay reasonable more for it.

A Note on Cuba

At the IMEX Show we had the opportunity to speak with several people first hand who have taken a land trip to Cuba just recently.  Of course these “explorers” are trying like many others to be one of the first to bring their groups to Cuba.  In general they were not impressed with what they saw from an accommodation side to dining and other necessary land venues for groups.  On the other hand just seeing Cuba today seems to be a truly unique experience that will disappear soon. quickly in most people’s minds.  Now keep in mind Canada has been able to go to Cuba for years but do you hear of Canadian Incentive programs on land.

A Sneak Peak at ITBM-World former EIBTM

This November 17 to 19 Steve and Diana Bloss will be attending this show along with our cruise line Partners; Celebrity Cruise, SeaDream Yacht Club Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Haimark Line, Ponant Cruise, MSC Cruises and Silversea.  Steve said “This is our most power cruise line partner line-up we have ever had at this show after 26 years and it seems our calendars all are almost full”.
