All Leisure Holidays — the parent company of Voyages of Discovery, Swan Hellenic and Hebridean Island Cruises — is closing its Fort Lauderdale-based sales office on April 10.
Steve Tucker, who was president of All Leisure’s North American sales operation, is departing the company and will consult within the cruise industry.
All Leisure is moving its North American sales, marketing and reservations functions to a general sales agent (GSA) named Discover the World, which is headquartered near Phoenix.
“They’re closing the office as they move from a fixed-cost business to a variable-cost business model,” Tucker told TravelPulse. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my tenure with All Leisure Holidays and wish them all the best for future success in the North American market.”
Tucker said Jackie Morris, director of sales, will work for Discover the World, along with two reservations agents, Rhonda Suarez and Alma Colon.
“I was very happy they were able to accommodate some of the staff,” Tucker said. “That will help ensure a smooth transition.”
Tucker has worked in the cruise industry for more than 30 years. He joined All Leisure Holidays in February 2013 and before that was vice president-field sales for Silversea Cruises. He also previously held sales positions at Holland America Line, Orient Lines and Norwegian Cruise Line.
