Starting in summer 2015, Celebrity Cruises
will offer river and ocean combination cruises. The 11 package offerings combine
a European Celebrity sailing with an Amras Cruises river journey on the Danube,
Rhine, Rhone or Seine rivers.
Celebrity President and CEO Michael Bayley said the introduction of these
river-and-ocean cruise packages offers travelers the ability to immerse
themselves in Europe more than was possible before.
Ranging from 16 to 24 nights, the river and ocean packages each feature a
seven-night Amras Cruises sailing that includes dining, select wines and beer,
fully guided tours and free Wi-Fi. On the ocean portion of the trip, passengers
will receive a complimentary Celebrity Cruises classic beverage package,
including wine and spirits. Also included are flights to major European cities
near one of five cruise ports in Italy, England, Spain, Greece or Turkey; one or
two nights in a hotel before the ocean cruise embarkation; and transfers from
the airport to the hotel and the ocean cruise port.
Among the 11 sailings are:
Two 16-night voyages, including a seven-night southern France river cruise
aboard Amadeus Symphony, followed by two nights in Athens and a weeklong cruise
visiting the Mediterranean aboard Celebrity Equinox
A 20-night journey stopping in seven countries along the Danube River aboard
Amadeus Silver II, followed by two nights in London and an 11-night Celebrity
Eclipse sailing to Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands
A 23-night voyage departing Amsterdam on Amadeus Silver with stops in Cologne
and Strasbourg, among others, followed by an overnight in Rome and a
transatlantic cruise on Celebrity Reflection to the Caribbean
A 20-night journey that begins with a roundtrip French countryside river cruise
out of Paris on Amadeus Diamond, followed by an overnight in Paris before flying
to Istanbul to embark on a 12-night Celebrity Constellation cruise to Israel and
the Mediterranean . |
