Cruise News for the Corporate Travel Professional

March  2014 Edition

Brian O'Connor Heads CLIA Trade Committee
Menu Brian O’Connor, vice president-sales for North America for Princess Cruises and Cunard Line, has assumed the chairmanship of the trade relations and sales committee for the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). He succeeds Camille Olivere, senior vice president-sales of the Americas for Norwegian Cruise Line, whose term has ended.

O’Connor and his committee will work closely with Dwain Wall, CLIA’s new senior vice president-agency and trade relations, to provide counsel on travel agent relations, research, training programs and cruise distribution membership initiatives. The trade relations and sales committee consists of senior marketing and sales executives from member cruise lines.

“The importance of CLIA-member travel agents and their relationship with our CLIA-member cruise lines is crucial to the cruise industry and this committee,” Wall said. “Camille Olivere has done much to strengthen this relationship, and I know Brian will continue her excellent work. The strong leadership that Brian will bring to the role, as well as his outstanding marketing acumen and depth of industry knowledge will undoubtedly prove invaluable as CLIA continues to raise the bar on its education, marketing and the overall relationship with our member agents.”.
