Seabourn confirmed that a second new-build
ship will join the fleet in spring 2018.
The 40,350-ton, all-suite ship will be based on Seabourn's Odyssey-class of
ships, but will carry 604 passengers -- 154 more passengers than on Seabourn
Odyssey, Sojourn or Quest. There will also be 302 spacious suites all with a
private balcony.
The decision to add a second new ship was an included option while ordering
their first vessel in January, 2014. The two new ships form part of Seabourn's
fleet modernization that began in 2009.
"We're very pleased that the demand for our brand has allowed us to add a second
new ultra-luxury ship to our expanding fleet", said Seabourn's President,
Richard D. Meadows. "These two ships will offer the understated elegance we are
known for, as well as new amenities, innovations and modern design features that
embody the hallmarks of Seabourn."
The ship will be constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. |
