U.S. Automates I-94 Forms for Foreign Visitors

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is now automating I-94 Arrival/Departure Records for foreign visitors, which means the travelers will no longer need to fill out the paper forms when arriving in the U.S. by air or sea.

The records of admission will instead be generated by using the traveler data already created electronically by visa and travel approvals, thereby saving paper and streamlining the immigration arrivals process.

The automation went live on Tuesday at international airports in Charlotte-Douglas, N.C.; Orlando; Las Vegas; Chicago O'Hare; Miami, and Houston, and will continue to debut across the U.S. through May 21. Travelers who do not receive a hard copy of the I-94 but require one can now print them out at www.cpb.gov/I94
