Blanca-Stella Lanao Appointed Business Development Director for UN-Cruises Adventures

A chance meeting with Blanca-Stella at a trade function in Florida gave me the opportunity to chat with this long time, experience cruise professional during which I learned that she had just returned from an extensive trip visiting most of U-Cruises fleet of cruise ships.

She looked tanned from her travels and very comfortable in her new position and was happy to bring me up to date on her role as Business Development Director with UN-Cruises for the southern United States and Latin America with a focus on Mexico as well as her impression of the mix of smaller cruise ships which make up the Un-Cruise fleet.

Lanao has 20 years’ experience working in the travel industry with 11 years as director of international accounts for Regent Seven Seas. She also spent time at Fairfield Communities as director of international travel sales and at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau as director of sales for Latin America, Caribbean and Asia. Most recently she consulted for a number of travel firms in Mexico and South America.

Lanao speaks fluent English and Spanish with working knowledge of Portuguese and French. She has an AA degree from Junior College in Bogotá, Colombia and is a Certified Travel Industry Consultant (CTC).

Un-Cruise is not (at least yet) a cruise line name that has instant recognition, but that is about to change.  Un-Cruise Adventures are unmatched, hands-on small group explorations cruises. With several styles to choose from: Active; Luxury; Heritage; and Charter Adventures and as such an inviting alternative to your typical cruise.

Kayaks and whales, snorkels and totems, mountains and desert, service and wine. Uncover your adventure today—then pack your bags and venture into some of nature’s most exciting playgrounds and historic ports for exploration, eye-to-eye wildlife encounters, and Living History.

With itineraries which span Alaska, Mexico’s Sea of Cortés, Columbia & Snake Rivers, Hawaiian Islands, and Coastal Washington & British Columbia there is always something new to discover.
