Cruceros Australis Standardizes Patagonia Cruise Program
Menu .Cruceros Australis has reorganized its Patagonia cruise program for the 2014-15 season to standardize days of departure every week and offer short getaways.

On Fridays, the Via Australis will stay within the same country, embarking and arriving back at the same port — Punta Arenas, Chile, or Ushuaia, Argentina. The in-country three-night program “gives the opportunity for a quick look at Patagonia without the hassle of crossing international borders,” the company said. On Mondays, the Via Australis will sail between Ushuaia and Punta Arenas for a more in-depth, four-night program.

The newer Stella Australis begins its four-night Saturday departures on Sept. 20, 2014, and its three-night Wednesday departures thereafter, crossing the Argentina/Chile border each time until April 1, 2015. Cruceros Australis offers a seven-night program by combining a three- and four-night itinerary with a 5 percent total discount and including an excursion in either Ushuaia or Punta Arenas, depending on the itinerary.

Rates for the 2014-15 season include sea transportation, shore excursions, onboard entertainment, all meals and an open bar.
