In memoriam – Robert Tillberg

Robert Tillberg, the Swedish interior designer whose work in cruise and ferry shipping started in the 1960s, has passed away.

Robert Tillberg's passion was for excellence in the design of cruise ships and land based projects. The Tillberg legacy began with Mr. Robert Tillberg's design firm in Viken, Sweden more than 50 years ago. His firm soon became an organization that participated since the beginning of many of the major and most successful Cruise Lines in the world.

Since the beginning of our firm, Mr. Tillberg’s objective was to support the growth and development of the industry and our clients, by providing design solutions that would offer an edge within the parameters of the project and the limitations of the budgets.

“We are saddened to report that Tillberg Design's founder Robert Tillberg has peacefully passed away. Robert will be remembered as a great pioneer and creator, motivator and mentor - both within our company and by his collaborators and clients,” Tillberg Design said in a statement.

“He had unique skills, and huge knowledge of the marine cruise market. We, who worked with Robert, feel both proud and thankful to keep his name alive.”
