Gauguin Cruises releases itineraries for their luxury ship, the 90-guest m/v
Tere Moana, which launches on December 29, 2012, for its inaugural sailing. The ship will debut a luxurious new look—chic and stylish with Polynesian touches. To achieve the new design, a multimillion-dollar, multi-faced renovation will take place starting in November, with The Moana receiving new furniture, upholstery, art, lighting, wall coverings, carpeting, ceiling finishes, window treatments, paint schemes, flooring, and floor coverings for staterooms and public spaces. Eight of The Moana’s 45 staterooms will offer private balconies. All staterooms will feature an ocean view; a queen-size bed, convertible to twin-bed configurations, with fine linens, feather-down duvets, robes, and cotton slippers; a flatscreen TV; a DVD/CD player; an in-stateroom refrigerator replenished daily with soft drinks, beer, and bottled water; and a bathroom with sumptuous bath products. The Moana will offer two elegant dining venues and will incorporate regionally infused cuisine of destinations visited featuring fresh ingredients from local markets. L’Etoile will showcase an array of tempting specialties, expertly prepared each evening, including culinary creations by Jean-Pierre Vigato, Chef Propriétaire of the two-star Michelin-rated Apicius restaurant in Paris. La Veranda will feature delicious breakfast and lunch dishes with indoor and outdoor dining and will be transformed into a gourmet, reservation-only dining venue nightly. Aboard The Moana, evenings will feature live piano music and informative lectures in Le Salon, the perfect place to enjoy cocktails and unwind after a day of adventure. La Boutique will showcase apparel, sundries, souvenirs, and jewelry. The Deep Nature Spa by Algotherm will offer signature spa treatments, and a fitness center will also be available, equipped with the latest cardio and weightlifting equipment. In select ports, the ship’s watersports marina will offer kayaking and paddleboarding. Guests will be able to enjoy stunning views from the decks, relaxing on chaise lounges by the pool or a Balinese bed, cruising in style from one captivating port to the next. Like The Gauguin, The Moana will offer an elegant yet casual ambiance, luxurious accommodations, gourmet dining, trademark Polynesian hospitality, and extraordinary all-inclusive value. In December and March, The Moana sails 7-night Caribbean voyages from St. Martin, visiting a mix of sophisticated islands and unspoiled gems in the French West Indies, British Virgin Islands, and St. Kitts & Nevis. In January and February, 13- and 14-night Panama Canal cruises feature a classic transit of the canal and a unique itinerary that includes enchanting Cartagena, Columbia, and the wildlife reserves of Costa Rica. From April through November, The Moana operates a variety of European voyages. During spring and fall, 14-night transatlantic crossings are offered between Europe and the Caribbean. |
