Silversea Cruises
appointed American Express
veteran executive Ellen
Bettridge as president of the
Americas in a move the company
said is aimed at strengthening
its worldwide sales and
marketing.
She will head Silversea’s Fort Lauderdale office, reporting to coo Ken Watson. Steve Odell, president of Europe and Asia Pacific, also reports to Watson.
Bettridge, whose
appointment becomes effective
April 9, brings an extensive
background in the retail travel
industry. Most recently, she was
vp of the American Express US
Retail Travel Network.
