A short cruise on Le Boreal

In April Diana and I had the opportunity to take a short cruise on the Le Boreal as she was introduced to the trade and the Media in Miami.

Having cruised on the ship in June in the Med you will find attached a review and details from that cruise. One thing I missed, but Diana noticed was that the mirror in the bathroom is heated so it does not fog up after taking a shower, a nice touch.

Another purpose of this cruise for us was to have a detailed meeting with the Hotel Manager in regards to several up coming charters we have them. I think we were both impressed with the “can do” attitude and the experience they have in dealing with charterers.

The Le Boreal or her newly launched sister ship the L’Austral are great for charters of up to 260 passengers.

In 2012 these ships will be cruising in Antarctica, Northern Europe, Iceland, Canada, Asia, South Pacific and the Med. These ships should not be considered as a “French Cruise” while many of the crew are French and the food is certainly with a French flair the vast majority of their passengers and charters are from North America.

Having chartered ships from Compagnie du Ponant, the actual cruise lines name, for over 20 years we can attest to a very solid product that delivers a great experience to her guests.
