Century Cruises issues IPO

Century Cruises, operator of Yangtze River sailings, said it has become the first river cruise company to join a major global stock exchange.

The company issued an initial public offering on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in China.

Century said the IPO supports the expansion of its fleet; the company will introduce two new luxury ships in the coming year.

Century’s fleet has five ships: the Star, Sky, Sun, Diamond and Emerald. All cabins have balconies.

The cruise line serves a Western-style buffet for breakfast and lunch, and a Chinese banquet for dinner.

Century is based in Chongqing and has an office in New York.
